We’ve had a whole lot to celebrate lately—including our recent collab with star sommelier André Hueston Mack, exclusive to the Proxies Club. Though we’ve spent much of our existence as a brand exclusively online—living somewhere between your inbox and your unboxing experience, you could say—we thought it was high time we finally put on some hard pants and headed out of the house.

But why throw just one party when you can keep the good vibes flowing all month long—especially when you know those parties are going to be hangover-free?

Proxies are made to be paired and shared, so that’s exactly what we did. We drew up an NYC itinerary to rival any food tour, with friends, chefs and somms from far and wide, and popped the cork on a whole month of Proxies x NYC.

André welcomed us with a pairing dinner, featuring Proxies alongside wine and a five-course tasting menu, at Kingfisher, his yet-to-be-opened seafood restaurant in Brooklyn. The flavors sang, and we got to hang out with the gang from Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Vinepair, and The Today Show (among many, many others).

Proxies are a feast for the senses, so we teamed up with the folks from Snaxshot and Alimentari Flaneur and dreamed up an event to match. We dressed up the HQ of our gracious hosts Shopify with spruce tips, cloves, pink peppercorns, cherries, chillies and hops, turned up the volume, and dove into an evening of sensorial indulgence.

We made sure to spread the joys of Proxies far and wide. At Coast & Valley Wine Bar in Greenpoint, we brought a little Oregon to their Cali-focused wine list with a free-pour event featuring AHM.

At Pinch Chinese (where award-winning-somm Miguel De Leon lists Proxies alongside Pomerol) we hosted a one-night-only menu of Proxies-and-dumpling pairings.

And we were lucky enough to be welcomed for pop-ups, takeovers and pourings at non-alc bottle shops Spirited Away, Boisson and Minus Moonshine—sharing Proxies with some of the folks who love them as much as we do.

It’s been a trip to remember, and our hearts (and our stomachs) are full. We want to send a huge thanks to everyone who hosted us, stopped by one of our events, or helped make them happen.
